Sky Mobile

What we know about Sky Mobile — written independently, not by Sky Mobile itself.

Worth knowing: this page isn't run by Sky Mobile or its parent company. For anything account-specific, you'd need to go through Sky Mobile's own channels.

By Design

Sky Mobile sits on O2's network rather than running its own, and its main selling point is Piggybank — data you don't use one month carries over, now for as long as a year.

Plans on offer

Often cheaper if you're already a Sky customer.

  • A discount typically applies if you already have Sky TV or broadband
  • Billing can sit alongside your other Sky services
  • Both SIM only and pay monthly are available

Signal and speed

Borrowed entirely from O2's network.

  • 4G and 5G match O2's coverage exactly, postcode for postcode
  • Doesn't show up separately in independent rankings, since it's O2's signal underneath
  • O2's satellite feature doesn't reach Sky Mobile customers either

Going abroad

The one area where Sky lags behind its own host network.

  • EU roaming is charged by the day through an add-on, not included free
  • That's a step down from O2 itself, which bundles it in as standard
  • Worth weighing against the Piggybank benefit before deciding

Moving on or in

Same Ofcom rules as everywhere else.

  • PAC to 65075 keeps your number when you leave
  • INFO to 85075 checks your current term first
  • Check whether leaving affects any bundled Sky TV or broadband pricing
A quick note on who we are: neylscout (neylscout.online) is run by independent researchers, not by any mobile network. We write about Three, O2, EE, Tesco Mobile, Vodafone, Sky Mobile, and iD Mobile because people ask us about them — none of these companies sponsor us, pay us, or have any say in what we publish. We are not a reseller and we never sell airtime, SIMs, or contracts through this site, and you won't find a single price on these pages, because prices move too often for us to keep accurate. If you ring the number on this site or fill in our form, you'll reach our own small team — never a network's official support desk, and never anyone able to touch your account. Every brand name and logo colour you see here belongs to the company it names; we use them only so you can tell which network a page is about, not to suggest any partnership. Treat everything here as a starting point for your own research, and check the final word with the network directly before you commit to anything.
